Collection: Xavier Escala

Xavier Escala’s artistic individuality lies in his ability to see, as if through a microscope that which he calls Coincidentia Oppositorum or coincidence of opposites. A winner of the National Sculpture Prize “Excelentísima Duquesa de Alba”, Xavier creates a world of contrasts that are masterfully infused deep into stone and wood so that they reveal themselves to his audience. Escala has dedicated his life to art: he studied in the academies of Santa Isabel de Hungría and Carrara, and then with a sculptor Aron Demetz.
