Late summer. Six months ago, I started attending life drawing sessions and creating paintings based on them. This practice became my lifeline and still helps me cope with the anxiety of war. I take a huge number of sketches, spread them out on the floor, and look at them until I begin to see a story, a connection. I adjust the visual composition to match my current state. Selecting what resonates with me in the moment and refining the narrative to its final form. What I see in this artwork is personal. And it should be the same for the viewer—personal in their own way.
