"I wanted to create a series of portraits that would reflect my state of mind during the painting process. Contemplation, numbness, sadness, a cold calm. There was no joy at that moment, but I felt that the portraits turned out atmospheric. They are deep and thought-provoking. One wonders where the girl is looking and what she sees.
