Collection: Valeriia Buchuk

Valeriia Buchuk is a multidisciplinary contemporary artist. She holds a Master of Arts degree from the Donetsk Art College and the Kharkiv Academy of Design and Fine Arts. She has a background of working with painting, graphics, sculpture, and set design. Her current artistic practice lies mostly in the realm of photography. 

Buchuk’s art is very personal and intimate. Her works explore the most beautiful aspects of existence—the magic of the present moment; a state of being in love. Her main characters are mostly women, and she often focuses on the human body, highlighting its essence as the vessel for human emotion and expression.

I create sensual images through expressive compositions and vivid plastic solutions that border on explicit erotica. The characters in my art are free, uninhibited, and bold. The creative process feels like observing a person as a unique natural phenomenon, shaped by my distinct sense of beauty. My art is full of vitality. The dynamic element—movement—holds special significance in my depictions, akin to a dance, a pulsation intrinsic to all living things. Through this energy, I aim to engage in a dialogue with my audience, evoking unforgettable fascination and a keen sense of life.
