Taras Haida is an Ukrainian artists engaged in oil painting and digital collages. In his work, Haida mainly deals with immersion in his own subconscious. The author depicts situations and ideas that emerge inside of him and, thanks to intuitive thinking, turns them into expressive artistic images. Haida’s art is foremost about how we register and comprehend our psyche indications.

In my work with painting and digital collage, I primarily explore the theme of diving into my own subconscious. Situations and ideas that emerge within me transform into expressive artistic images through intuitive thinking. My art is mainly about how we register and comprehend the manifestations of our consciousness. My paintings depict scenes of human existence, captured in destabilized compositions. Among my visual techniques, the most important are fragmentation of the whole, glitch, and deformation. The goal of these creative tactics is to evoke the atmosphere of powerful dreams or intense experiences. The glitch, like a doubt, permeates the texture of all my works, expanding and distorting the usual appearance of people, animals, and objects.
