Collection: Andriy Bludov

Andriy Bludov is a well-established contemporary Ukrainian artist. Metaphor is a powerful communicative tool frequently employed by Bludov. He defines his work as a synthesis of abstraction and mystical realism. In his work, Andriy often returns to the use of the archetypical characters that travel from one painting to another. His artwork asks the audience to show commitment – a willingness to immerse themselves deep into the different strata of his captivating imagery to fully appreciate Bludov’s artistic vision.

My works are about meanings. They are not always comfortable, but they are my personal exploration of human life, natural and spiritual processes. They explore the interaction of all living things and question what can truly be considered alive. First, a thought or observation is born, and then comes the work. I believe that art speaks the language of emotions. It is through this language that meanings are formed, which then transform into images.
