Collection: Anna Bondar

Anna Bondar is a contemporary Ukrainian artist currently based in Marbella, Spain. In her work, Bondar experiments with different genres, techniques, and materials, and creates her own, immediately recognizable compositional style. For Anna, art is a “language of feelings” — a way to convey that, which cannot be spoken.

Her paintings often balance between figuration and abstraction, where fragmented bodies and tactile brushstrokes form a rhythm of intimacy and vulnerability. Bondar has developed a distinctive visual language that she calls her “embodied expressionism,” exploring intimacy, transformation, and the dialogue between inner and outer worlds.

“Life carves its lines into me, year by year, story by story. This is the story written on my body. Just as each ring of a tree marks a season of growth, strengthening the trunk and stretching the branches closer to the sun, so do I gather strength, reaching upward, seeking God — not through bark and branches, but through my years, my scars, and my soul”
